Scientists discover microplastics equivalent to a plastic spoon in brains

You've probably heard about "microplastics" contaminating the environment as well as the inside of our bodies.

But here's something many are still not aware of:

The May 2025 issue of Brain Medicine shows a striking cover: a human brain dotted with colorful microplastic particles next to a plastic spoon.

The finding?

Human brains may contain about “a spoonful” of microplastic material. (1)

Of course, this is just ONE toxin we are exposed to on a daily basis. There’s also lead, mercury, cadmium, PCBs, PFAS, and a laundry list of other contaminants that are known to accumulate in the human body faster than our ability to get rid of them.
