Proud to say no Ai has been used to produce any content on this website : ) My brain is alive and well!

Are your health records safe with Ai?

Is there a place for Ai in healthcare? Can it be used safely? Will your health data be kept private and confidential?

This topic will be covered in the upcoming Lifestyle Medicine Summit this October with new cutting-edge tech being announced by Lifestyle Prescriptions University.

A few days ago I sent an email to mention the upcoming annual LIFESTYLE MEDICINE SUMMIT, a global gathering of health professionals focused on how to reverse and prevent illnessthrough the lifestyle medicine.

Lifestyle Medicine has been my primary focus for nearly 20 years, even before it had a name, and is very much what I needed to do to heal multiple illnesses including CFS, fibromyalgia, clinical depression, allergies, asthma and more.

I have found that self-care is the absolute essential number one pre-requisite for maintaining health, requiring a significant amount of input and self-responsibility, which many of us can find challenging in our over-busy lives, myself included! (I'll be sharing more about this during my presentation at the summit on day 4, see the schedule below).

One of the topics which will be covered during this free online summit will be the use of Ai in healthcare.

Unless you've been living under a rock these past couple of years, it's become abundantly clear that Ai is all the rage right now, and growing exponentially.

Personally, in general, I'm not a fan of Ai. It's already been shown to have many potential dangers, including for example a decline in cognitive function, as people self-atrophy their ability to be creative and think for themselves. (There's a lot more I could say about this topic, but not enough time right now, so I'll leave that for another time...)

When I first started attending and presenting at the HINZ (Health Informatics NZ) conferences in 2016 (watch my interview here), where the main theme throughout the conferences was the use of digital tech in health, I had no idea that nearly 10 years later we would be where we are now.

With the very current talk of digital ID's being enforced on global populations (see a few very enlightening video links at the bottom of this blog), where all of one's personal records can and are planned to be amalgamated into one central place, one needs to be very aware of the scope and ethics of the use of Ai.

However, having recently listened to a presentation on the upcoming cutting-edge Ai tools being developed by Lifestyle Prescriptions University, I can see that there can be a place for Ai in health which could be very helpful, where your health data WILL be kept confidential and safe, and can be used to expedite very useful recommendations and healing protocols.

You can find out more by tuning into the Ai sessions at the upcoming Lifestyle Medicine Summit 2025 this October.
